This is a genuine 1972 Skyline 2000GT-R, the KPGC10 Hakosuka, in silver with 44,895 km on the S20 engine and a five-speed manual, holding a 4 grade with a C interior. Fewer than 2,000 of these were ever built and they are the founding car of the GT-R legend, which is why we describe it exactly as the inspector does rather than polishing the story: over-fenders have been fitted with paint peeling around them, the body has had full paint retouching that is uneven in places, the seats are torn and sagging, the trunk trim board and tools are missing, the chrome is cloudy and there are the expected marks and stone chips for a 54-year-old car. The positives that matter: the automobile tax is paid and the shaken can be continued. A genuine, matching-era Hakosuka GT-R at a price that reflects its honest condition, for a collector who wants the real car rather than a perfect one.
The inspector is detailed: over-fenders fitted with paint peeling around them, uneven full-body paint retouching, seat tears and sagging, a missing trunk trim board, missing tools, dirty and scratched interior, cloudy chrome parts, rear spoiler scratches, and various A1, U2, C1 marks and stone chips. The important positives: automobile tax is paid and the shaken can be continued.
